The time has come – Winter Break is over. We are back to the reality of school, homework and jobs. We got in the car last weekend and drove north – first to Eau Claire to drop off Brin, and then the extra hour and a half to Minneapolis. It is always hard saying goodbye to our brother, dad, and our wonderful mother.
Before we left, we had “linner” with the fam at Harbor House, a beautiful Milwaukee restaurant located right on Lake Michigan, next to the famous Milwaukee Art Museum. It was a sunny day and actually hit above 30º so we traded in our parkas for our lightweight coats.

[Berit] Harbor House is a seafood and raw bar restaurant; I ordered chicken. There are very few foods that I do not like: mushrooms, watermelon, cucumbers, and anything that fits under the category “seafood”. I hate this – one of my New Year’s Resolutions is to learn to like seafood. I feel like its a whole world of food that I am missing out on! I tried a sip of my mom’s lobster bisque – I tolerated it. Baby steps, Berit.
I have never loved a coat more in my life. This was one of those purchases that happened on accident. I was drawn into the Kate Spade store by a pair of shoes displayed in the window and ran straight into this beautiful coat. The color is very me, and I think that the buttons are so delicate and pretty.
Berit: sunglasses | choker | I got the one piece at a little boutique in Breckenridge, CO
Brin: sunglasses | top | skirt |

[Brin] Dark lipstick continues to be a hit every winter, and though I am not a huge fan of this exact product, I did snag this Kylie Jenner Lip Kit (in shade Leo from her limited edition birthday line) from Berit’s lipstick drawer. I do wish this color was still up for grabs because the shade is one of my favorites. These earrings were one of the purchases I made in Chicago at TopShop. They are cool because the front and back earring design make them stand out.
