Each year, the accounting major in me creates a collaborative googledoc spreadsheet Christmas list with Brin and our mom (our brother is left to fend for himself), complete with a section for each item, the appropriate size, and a link, as well as a little section where we can mark off if we want the same thing that our sister asked for. This ensures that
our mom Santa knows exactly what we want and where to find it.
Have you ever gone to make your Christmas list and had writers block? Same. It’s so frustrating. Or, worse, two weeks after Christmas you come up with all of these new ideas that you wish you had added to your list. Or, your friends got something that you wish you had only known to ask for. So many scenarios. To help mitigate this risk, we wanted to share a few items on our Christmas list with you for a little inspo. Sleigh all day, am I right?
Love from your favorite elves,
Brin + Berit
Need a good read over winter break? I have I Had a Nice Time And Other Lies by Betches and Every Last Lie by Mary Kubica on my list. Another recommendation for young women out there is How to Murder Your Life by Cat Marnell – it’s nothing like I have read before. (I am sensing a theme in my choice of books. I am not concerned).
I have seen advertisements for What Do You Meme all over instagram. I want to play so badly! Its like apples-to-apples but with memes.
I promise that this Viktor Rolf Flower Bomb perfume is the best scent out there. I got a mini sample of it from the Sephora Rewards Bazaar using my VIB points, and want the full size. It is a floral but mature scent.
I have heard multiple people talk about ice rollers and the positive effect it has on their faces. It makes for revitalized, young looking skin, and is chilled, so it feels really nice. Sign me up, Santa.
This illuminator by Frank Body is definitely at the top of my list. It is a new product by my favorite coffee scrub company (another gift idea – get their coffee scrub. You won’t regret it!) I am hoping this product gives me a nice, all over glow on days that I don’t wear face makeup (so, most days. What can you do).
I have not compiled a complete Christmas list of clothes, yet. I feel as though stores are still getting new things in. However, I have started researching. Stores include Free People, Zara, REVOLVE, Nordstrom, and Anthropologie. Thus far, at least. I found this sweater from FP, this going out top from Revolve, and these booties by MK from Nordstrom, amongst others.
New year, new planner. I found this cute one on Etsy. Nothing is better than a new planner – it’s so cleansing.
This Jo Malone London candle is overpriced but I want one anyway. Super chic looking.
The entire decoration section of the Anthropologie website is on my Christmas list, including this vase. I just moved in to a new apartment and am still trying to add finishing touches like this. I am into gold and white right now, so anthro’s line is perfect.
I recently received an Apple watch for my birthday a month ago and I am obsessed! I treat it like it is my child. I asked for the basic white strap and love it, but I do not like the rubber-y strap when I’m dressed up. I am set on leather, but cannot decide between the black or brown color.
It is so hard for me to limit it to the products I am listing below, but these are my favorites right now. My list is about 3/4th full of skincare products (thanks, Birchbox).
I’m wanting two different moisturizers because they serve different purposes. The first is through Nude Skincare and is their ProGenius Omega Treatment Milk. I bought the smallest size of this and immediately saw results. It is backed with omegas to keep your skin healthy and smooth. The other moisturizer was one I also discovered through Birchbox. It Cosmetics has an AMAZING anti-aging serum called “Secret Sauce” (how fricken cute). Anti-aging creams are SO important to start early so I 10/10 recommend this one.
My last skincare product is my favorite, OUAI Rose Hair and Body Oil. I only use it on my skin because I have naturally oil hair. Not only does this make my skin feel SO soft when I put it on before bed, but it smells so good. I sometimes dab it on as a perfume because it’s that amazing.
A few make-up products on the top of my list starts with primers. I used the First Light Filter Face Primer by BECCA and it was a hit so I am in dire need of a refill – it really makes your skin bright. For days when I’m not trying to get the glow I also would not mind the Prime Time Foundation through bareMinerals for my matte looks.
Some other beauty products would include FENTY BEAUTY Rihanna’s Pro Filt’r Soft Matte Longer Foundation and That Booty Tho Bum Scrub by Revolve. I have not tried either of these products but have heard nothing but good reviews about both.
Even though I’m over 5’7″, I love wearing heels out. I had plenty for summer, but now am in need for winter booties. Per usual, Nordstrom holds my top options that include Lucky Brand Urbi Peep Toe Bootie ,BP Ashlee Bootie, and my favorite, the Steve Madden Grand Bootie.
All my clothing store options are similar to Berit’s, but some specific items include these black lace up Hudson jeans, this Peekaboo Pullover from Free People, and this cozy off-the-shoulder sweater from Urban Outfitters.
